Weekday mornings in our house aren’t always fun. Clothes aren’t donned, teeth aren’t cleaned nor beds tidied with any kind of military precision. Often, in fact, it feels quite the opposite.
This morning, however, things were different.
The impact of family violence and child poverty is far reaching – not only affecting New Zealand children now, but their future prospects as well. These social issues are the responsibility of every New Zealander.
Developed by Tauawhi Men’s Centre, a division of Family Works East Coast, the Dad and Me programme aims to meet the needs of men in the Tairāwhiti community who are either disengaged or struggling to have a positive relationship with their whānau.
