In 2014 the Presbyterian Support federation established the Family Works New Zealand Trust.
Through the Trust, Family Works services come together to share information, and develop best practice to support continued delivery of quality services across the country.
Family Works New Zealand has been established to coordinate national service development and provide a single point of contact for national enquiries.
There are Family Works services in the seven Presbyterian Support regions
Upper South Island
Each of the seven Presbyterian Support organisations govern, manage and operate Family Works services regionally.
Family Works New Zealand is a charitable organisation registered with Charities Services of the Department of Internal Affairs.
Shine to merge with Presbyterian Support Northern
Shine, an Auckland-based domestic abuse charity is to merge with Presbyterian Support Northern. From 1 July 2016 Shine will deliver services alongside Family Works and Enliven.
PS Otago’s Buddy Programme impresses
Giving young people the opportunity to spend time with an adult outside of their family, someone who has positive regard for them and shows interest in their lives, helps build confidence and presents new experiences.
